Steve Pearson Poetry

I have borrowed her beauty,
her pristine skies and azure sea
and felt her forgiveness
in full measure.
I have travelled her soaring,
plunging, wending ways,
wandered among
her aged beautiful smiles,
staying awhile.
I have walked upon
and through
her glittering miles of new
and unhurried charms,
her open arms
still yet the same.
I have revelled in her love
and in her glory,
and whispered, as lovers do,
Moraira, I love you too.
