Aiming High

Steve Pearson Poetry

I don’t need nor want the polished ones
With their swanky one-way ways
I need and want those who shine their light
Where the shadow meets their gaze
For we are the direction of the river’s flow
And we’ll go wherever we go.

We’ll make the most of the next day’s dawn
Make the most of the little things
The least we’ll be is the building wind
Whatever tomorrow brings
For we are the direction of the river’s flow
And we’ll go wherever we go.

Ours is the new shine that lights up the world
Ours is the sweet new way.
Ours is the making of the new buzz word
Ours is the dawning of the day.
For we are the direction of the river’s flow
And we’ll go wherever we go.
