One Day at a Time

We will rise in the morning
In the dawning of the day.
Sons of mothers and
Mothers of sons, will weep,
And speak a memory of life
To keep in lieu of the lost.
A new tomorrow must be,
That the daughters of men
And fathers of their lost girl
Can disbelieve their world
And grieve, in unending time.
’till, in the setting of the sun
When the lives of the living
One day at a time, move on
Never leaving them behind
We will as one, remember them.
